The Diploma in Financial Trading is aimed at active traders and consumers who have suffered from painful losses in third party investments in the Stock Markets, Foreign Exchange and Commodities and now wish to take charge of their own Trading Strategies and trade independently.

The course covers the primary principles of Trading used by Market Professionals.

The course is presented by our team of in-house traders and lecturers. Peter Brown, co-founder of IIFT, who has shared platforms with Nick Leeson, David McWilliams, Shane Ross TD and Constantin Gurdgiev to name a few, is the primary lecturer on the course.

Peter’s clear and concise style garnered from over 25 years of trading experience is unique in trading education. Vincent Hogan and Niall O’Connor cover areas such as trading styles and strategies, risk management, economic macro views and technical analysis; all critical areas to any would-be trader’s education. They will train you through advanced trading techniques, set ups and edges developed by the team that have proved successful time and time again. You will learn how to execute trades and develop skills to take astute opportunities in the market.

At no extra cost following completion of the course, you will have the opportunity for continued support and mentoring at our monthly live Trading Days for 12 months.

The course is ideal for individuals who wish to develop a new Tax Free source of supplementary or full time income. The course is structured for beginners and experienced traders alike, to develop the critical skills and disciplines to improve trading performance.

Continuous assessment is conducted on a weekly basis to ensure that the essential learning goals are achieved. The safety net of ongoing mentoring and guidance is unique to IIFT through the Live Trading Day access.

The development of a trading plan to suit would-be traders form an important area of the course. The use of a well constructed trading plan will remove much of the emotional stress associated with trading.

The Course was developed and launched in 2010 in response to the demand for education amongst the novice trading community in Ireland after the unprecedented destruction of personal wealth. For many, having paid significant commissions to traditional investment bodies to find that personal portfolios had their capital decimated, customers sought to take ownership of their financial decisions, to develop their knowledge base and empower themselves to trade their own investment portfolios.

Since its inception Peter Brown and the team at IIFT have trained in excess of 450 traders.

The IIFT has an ongoing association with Dublin Business School. In recognition of our unique trading experience and expertise, Dublin Business School recommends IIFT as the chosen providers in this area.
